This handcrafted needlepoint stand is a replica of a Boston colonial 18th century stand . The vertical posts are octagonal. The frame assembly is an 18" square with inlaid soft pine to easily accept thumb tacks to hold the canvass to the frame. Frame is also adjustable from vertical to horizontal in eleven increments (16.4 degrees each increment) for comfortable positioning. Each increment is positively locked with locking pins for non movement of the frame. Made from solid mahogany and cherry and finished in moisture resistant lacquer.
